Privacy Policy
Last updated September 13, 2026
This policy explains what the studio collects when you book or come in, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website and the way appointments are handled.
What we collect
When you book, we collect your name, mobile number, and — if you choose to give one — an email address, along with the language you prefer to be contacted in. If you tell us your date of birth, we keep it on your client record.
As you become a client we keep a record of your appointments, what was done and when, the plan agreed with you, notes taken at your visits, invoices and payments, and the text messages exchanged with you, including your replies.
We do not ask for and do not want your card number, government ID, or social security number.
Why we collect it
To hold your appointment, recognise you when you book again, send confirmations and reminders, keep an accurate treatment record, take payment, and honour the intervals your plan calls for. Your date of birth, if given, is used to confirm you are old enough for a treatment and to keep your treatment record accurate.
Your mobile number is how you are identified here — there are no passwords and no accounts. We confirm it with a one-time code when you book.
Text messages
Appointment messages — a note that your request was received, a confirmation, a note if a visit is moved or cancelled, pre-care, reminders, aftercare, a follow-up check-in, a reminder when your included review is due, the dates of follow-up visits booked with you and, if one is written for you, a private link to your treatment plan — are sent only if you tick the optional box when booking. The box is unchecked by default and is not required to book. The same consent covers a link to pay a balance after a visit or to choose a time for a follow-up visit, and the studio's replies to questions you text us about your visits. We do not send promotional or marketing text messages.
Message frequency varies. A booked appointment usually produces six to eight messages. Verification codes you request — when booking, or on the page where you manage your visits — arrive separately, from our verification provider's number. Message and data rates may apply.
Replies to our texts are read by the studio. Texts from numbers that do not belong to a client are deleted after 90 days.
We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers, or the fact that you agreed to receive text messages, with anyone for their own marketing. No third party or affiliate receives that information for marketing or promotional purposes. It stays with the studio and the messaging provider that delivers the texts, and is used for nothing else.
You can stop at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us at your appointment. Reply HELP for help.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Square, whether you pay at the studio or through a booking-fee payment page. Your card details go to Square directly and are never stored on our systems — the studio only ever sees the last four digits and whether the payment succeeded. Payments at the studio can also be made in cash or by Zelle.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no third-party analytics, and carries no social or advertising pixels. That is a deliberate choice, not an oversight.
The site does keep its own count of visits, so the studio can see how it is used: which pages are opened and for how long, the site that linked you here, whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer, whether the visit reached the booking page or sent a request, and an approximate city, region and country that our hosting provider derives from the connection. No cookie is involved — a visit is recognised only by a random number held in that browser tab and forgotten when the tab is closed — and your IP address is not stored. These counts are kept for 180 days and are never shared or sold. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is counted.
Three cookies are used, and all are needed for the site to work: one keeps the studio's own admin login signed in, one keeps a client signed in to their private plan page for a while after they confirm their phone number with a code, and one keeps a client signed in, for up to seven days, to the page where they manage their visits. Nothing else on the public site requires a cookie.
Who else sees your information
Only the services needed to run the studio: Square for payments, Twilio for text messages, and our hosting and database providers, each acting on our instructions.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not trade it with other businesses. There is no exception to this.
How long we keep it
Treatment records are kept for at least seven years, which is the standard for records of this kind. Records of your messaging permissions are kept for five years. Invoices and payment records are kept for seven years for tax purposes.
If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so except where we are required to keep a record. That includes your date of birth and the texts you sent us.
Your rights in California
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop sending you messages.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in California law, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you are welcome to confirm that with us.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Security
Access to client records is limited to the studio. Records are held in an access-controlled database, and the connection to this site is encrypted.
Children
This studio's services are for adults. If a date of birth shows a client is under 18, the studio does not book them or send them text messages unless a parent or guardian has given consent in person, which is recorded.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
