How to receive text messages from Tatiana Sokolova

This page describes exactly how clients of Tatiana Sokolova (a single-location facial aesthetics studio in Beverly Hills, California) consent to receive SMS, and what they receive afterwards. Consent is optional at every step: a client can decline all messages and still book and be treated.

How the opt-in works, step by step

  1. 1A visitor opens the booking page at https://sokolovastudio.com/en/book and chooses a day, then a time. No phone number is requested before this point.
  2. 2The next screen asks for a mobile number. Tapping "Send code" sends one 6-digit verification code to confirm the number belongs to them. That code is delivered by Twilio Verify from a Twilio verification number, not from the studio's own number, and it is the only message the visitor has requested at that point; no ongoing messaging is enrolled by it.
  3. 3On that same screen, directly below the number field, is a single checkbox, empty by default, to receive messages about the appointment. It is not required: the booking submits with it unticked. A client who leaves it unticked receives no appointment messages — the only texts they receive are verification codes they request themselves: by tapping "Send code", or on the page where clients manage their visits. No promotional or marketing consent is collected on this form, and no marketing messages are sent.
  4. 4The same screen offers an explicit alternative for anyone who does not want texts at all: message the studio on Instagram (@dr.sokolovat) and booking will be arranged without any texts. Texting is never required to be seen.

The optional checkbox

It is unchecked by default and is not required to book. This is the exact wording rendered on the booking form.

I agree to receive appointment text messages from Tatiana Sokolova at this number: a note when my request is received, a confirmation, pre-care, a reminder the day before, arrival details, aftercare, and any follow-up for my visit. About 6–8 messages per appointment. Not required to book. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms and Privacy Policy apply.

The live form

The phone step of the booking form as it renders today: the number field, the verification-code disclosure, and the optional box — unticked.

What is sent after opting in

Separately from the checkbox, tapping "Send code" sends one 6-digit verification code, which the visitor has just requested. Codes come from a Twilio Verify number, not the studio's number. Apart from codes a person requests — here, or on https://sokolovastudio.com/en/visits to manage a booked visit — nothing is sent to someone who leaves the box unticked.

  • A note that your request was received, then a confirmation once Tatiana approves it — or, if that time is no longer available, a note asking you to pick another. If a booking fee applies, a text with a link to pay it on the studio's site.
  • Reminders about the upcoming visit: pre-care about two days before, a friendly reminder the day before, and a reminder 3 hours before with arrival details.
  • A note when a visit is moved or cancelled, and the dates when Tatiana books follow-up visits you agreed to.
  • An aftercare message the evening of the visit, and for some treatments a check-in in the days after and a reminder when the review included with the treatment is due.
  • If Tatiana writes you a treatment plan, one message with a private link to it.
  • If a balance is due after a visit, a text with a link to pay it on the studio's site; for a follow-up visit agreed at your appointment, a text with a link to choose a time for it.
  • One-to-one replies from the studio when you text a question about your visits.

Examples of what we send

Reproduced verbatim from the booking system. Fields in brackets are filled in for each client. Every message names the studio and ends with how to opt out. Messages link to the page where clients manage their visits unless they already carry another link (a payment page, offered times, parking directions). Verification codes are not among them: Twilio Verify sends them from a separate number.
